Dentsply Sirona has named board member and former Globus Medical CEO Daniel Scavilla as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2025.
Dentsply Sirona announced the appointment of Daniel Scavilla as its new president and chief executive officer, succeeding Simon Campion, who will depart the company on July 31, 2025. Scavilla, currently a member of the Dentsply Sirona Board of Directors, will assume the role on August 1.
Industry Experience and Previous Roles
Scavilla most recently served as president and CEO of Globus Medical, where he led the acquisition of NuVasive and managed the integration of the two spine technology firms. He also held several executive positions at Globus, including chief financial officer and president of the trauma division. His earlier career includes 28 years at Johnson & Johnson in various financial and operational leadership roles.

Scavilla’s Vision for the Company
Scavilla joined the Dentsply Sirona Board in February 2025 and cited the company’s potential and ongoing transformation as factors that drew him to the role. “As I step into the CEO role, I look forward to working with the team to continue the Company’s transformation and drive sustained profitable growth,” he said.
Departure of Simon Campion
Campion, who served as CEO for 3 years, has also stepped down from the Board of Directors. “It has been a privilege to serve as CEO,” Campion said. “Dentsply Sirona now has a strong foundation in place, and I fully expect the Company will reach new heights under Dan’s leadership.”
