The company has released the CS 1300, an intraoral camera designed to provide high-definition images and integrate with practice software.
Carestream Dental has launched the CS 1300 Intraoral Camera, a device designed to capture high-definition images for diagnostics and patient communication. The camera integrates with the company’s existing software ecosystem to support clinical workflows.
Imaging and Illumination Features
According to the company, the CS 1300 provides true high-definition 1080p resolution to help clinicians see fine details. The camera reportedly features enhanced optics and a wide focal range, allowing for clear images from a full arch to a single tooth. An 8-LED illumination system is built into the device to provide optimal lighting and reduce reflection during image capture.
Workflow Integration and Design
The CS 1300 connects via a direct USB connection for plug-and-play use. It is fully integrated with CS Imaging version 8 software, allowing images to be saved directly to patient files. The handpiece is lightweight and includes buttons to save and archive images, minimizing the need to switch between the camera and the computer.
“The CS 1300 is engineered to provide practitioners with exceptional image quality, which is fundamental to accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and clear patient communication. By optimizing its integration within the digital workflow, we are helping practices enhance both their clinical capabilities and their operational efficiency,” says Lisa Ashby, CEO, in a release.
