The company showcased a new resin for athletic mouthguards and an advanced indirect bonding tray material for its Pro 2 3D printer at the Chicago Midwinter Meeting.
SprintRay previewed new materials for its Pro 2 3D printer, including SportsGuard, a resin for custom athletic mouthguards, and IDB3, a material for indirect bonding trays. The new products were shown at the 2026 Chicago Midwinter Meeting.
“Chairside dentistry is moving beyond single restorations,” says Amir Mansouri, chief executive officer of SprintRay, in a release. “We’re showing clinicians how Midas and Pro 2 are evolving into true production systems that deliver higher performance and support more complex, efficient same-day care.”
In-House Athletic Mouthguard Production
SprintRay SportsGuard is a biocompatible, high-performance resin designed for fabricating custom athletic mouthguards using the Pro 2 digital workflow. The material allows practices to scan, design, print, and deliver sports guards in a single visit.
The workflow uses SprintRay AI Design to generate upper and lower guard designs with thickness control for fit and retention. According to the company, this process enables practices to offer premium sports dentistry in-house, providing new opportunities in pediatric care and athletic safety.
SportsGuard will be available in Crimson Red, Cobalt Blue, and Clear.
Advanced Indirect Bonding Tray Material
The company also previewed IDB3, an advanced indirect bonding tray material for orthodontic applications. The material is engineered to improve accuracy and consistency for same-day orthodontic workflows on the Pro 2 platform.
All new materials, including SportsGuard and IDB3, are expected to begin shipping in Spring 2026 following regulatory clearances.
Other Company Announcements
SprintRay also previewed several other products, including Precision Guide, a surgical guide resin designed for dimensional stability after sterilization.
For its Midas platform, the company demonstrated upcoming multi-unit restoration workflows, enabled by new Midas Multi-Unit Capsules with more than three times the build area of existing capsules.
To support clinician training, SprintRay announced the Midas World Tour, a global series of hands-on educational events in partnership with the MOD Institute, scheduled to begin in March 2026.
