uLab Systems and Biolux Technology have partnered to offer a bundled solution that pairs uSmile aligners with the OrthoPulse light therapy device through the uDesign Cloud platform.

uLab Systems and Biolux Technology have announced a strategic partnership that integrates the OrthoPulse near-infrared (NIR) light therapy device with uSmile aligners via the uDesign Cloud platform. The bundled option is available to orthodontists beginning in early September.

Integrated Light Therapy and Digital Planning

The collaboration merges Bioluxโ€™s OrthoPulse, a device that uses near-infrared light to stimulate bone remodeling and accelerate tooth movement, with uLabโ€™s AI-assisted treatment planning system and uSmile aligners. According to the companies, the integration is designed to shorten treatment times by up to 50%, reduce the need for refinements, and improve patient comfort and compliance.

Simultaneous Delivery via uDesign Platform

Orthodontists using the uDesign Cloud platform can now select a bundled option that includes both the uSmile aligners and the OrthoPulse device. Both components are shipped together directly to the practitionerโ€™s office, aiming to simplify the treatment workflow.

โ€œThis partnership is about more than combining technologiesโ€”it’s about redefining what’s possible in orthodontics,โ€ said Michael Hendricks, chief business officer at Biolux Technology. โ€œTogether, we’re giving orthodontists the tools to deliver more personalized, efficient, and comfortable careโ€”without compromise.โ€

Highlighting Clinical Impact

Gary Les, CEO of uLab Systems, stated, โ€œThe combination of OrthoPulse and uLab represents a paradigm shift in how we think about clear aligner therapy. We’re aligning biological science with AI-driven treatment planning and advanced aligner material technologyโ€”bringing precision, speed, and comfort into harmony.โ€

Focus on Patient-Centered Innovation

The companies emphasized that the integration is intended to enhance the patient experience by combining technological innovation with clinically validated biological methods. The bundled solution is positioned to meet growing demand for faster and more comfortable orthodontic care.
