DynaFlex released the latest update to the CS5 System, incorporating a Nylok coating around the threading of the CS Hybrid screw. Earlier this year, DynaFlex introduced CS5, the fifth generation of its popular CS System, a Class II and Class III Corrector.
This new version features the Twist-Lock Pivot, a one-piece design the company says guarantees an easy chair-side installation. The Twist-Lock Pivot is held in place by a Hybrid screw.
According to the company, coating the screw threading with Nylok offers resistance to loosening within the pivot and seals the threading of the screw securely into place. The medical grade material is blue for easy identification.
Nylok has been used in many high-tech industries, including aerospace and with medical implants.
