The FDA-cleared device from Biolux Technology uses near-infrared light to enhance tooth movement and will be part of the New Product Showcase Award Competition.
Biolux Technology has announced that its OrthoPulse lite will be featured in the New Product Showcase Award Competition at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) 2026 Annual Session in Orlando, Florida.
Device Uses Near-Infrared Light to Enhance Tooth Movement
OrthoPulse lite is an FDA-cleared device that uses near-infrared (NIR) light to stimulate the biological processes involved in tooth movement. According to the company, the technology enhances bone remodeling at the cellular level to support faster and more predictable treatment outcomes with aligners, fixed appliances, and hybrid protocols. The device is designed for 10 minutes of daily use by the patient.
Clinical Data on Aligner Therapy
Biolux reports that the device helps treatment track closer to the plan, a concept the company calls “movement assurance.” In aligner therapy, clinical studies have shown up to 50% faster treatment time, a 35% reduction in the number of finishing aligners required, and up to a 73% reduction in peak pain.
“Participating in the AAO New Product Showcase highlights the growing momentum behind OrthoPulse lite,” says Chuck Abraham, CEO of Biolux Technology, in a release. “We are helping clinicians move beyond managing variability to delivering treatment as planned. Once you integrate OrthoPulse, there’s no going back.”
