The agreement aims to expand access to near-infrared light therapy for patients in practices affiliated with the POP network.
OrthoPulse has entered into a strategic partnership with Premier Orthodontic Practices (POP), a network of private orthodontic practices across the US. The agreement is designed to make OrthoPulse’s FDA-cleared near-infrared (NIR) photobiomodulation technology available to patients within the POP network.
Expanding Access to NIR Therapy
The partnership aims to provide patients in POP-affiliated practices access to OrthoPulse’s NIR therapy as an adjunct to orthodontic treatment. According to the company, the technology is intended to support treatment efficiency, predictability of tooth movement, and patient comfort for individuals undergoing treatment with either aligners or fixed appliances.
Through the POP network, the collaboration will make the technology more accessible to a wider range of patients, regardless of age or case complexity.
“We are not just expanding distribution—we are raising the standard of orthodontic care,” says Michael Hendricks, chief revenue officer at OrthoPulse — Biolux Technology, in a release. “Near-infrared photobiomodulation is not niche. It is universally beneficial. Every orthodontic patient can experience improved efficiency and comfort with OrthoPulse. Partnering with POP accelerates our mission to make this technology accessible to all patients, regardless of age or treatment type.”
Practice and Patient Benefits
For practices, the integration of OrthoPulse is positioned as a clinical tool that aligns with POP’s goal of providing advanced, evidence-based technologies to its members.
“POP is committed to equipping our practices with meaningful innovation—not trends, but proven clinical advancements,” says Scott Haley, managing partner at POP, in a release. “OrthoPulse enhances treatment experience and predictability for all patients. This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver elevated, patient-first orthodontic care across our network.”
A Clinical Perspective
Clinicians within the POP network report positive experiences with the technology.
“Near-infrared therapy has been a very impactful technology that I’ve incorporated into treatment,” says Dr Bill Dischinger, a POP member, in a release. “Patients of all ages benefit — whether it’s improved comfort, smoother aligner progression, or greater confidence in the treatment process. Making OrthoPulse broadly available through POP elevates the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.”
