The Invisible Orthodontist is marking its 15th anniversary with international events and a 15-day digital campaign highlighting its growth and member community.


The Invisible Orthodontist (TIO), a global network supporting specialist orthodontists in the clear aligner space, is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2025 with a series of international events and a social media campaign. Founded in 2010 by Dr Grant Duncan (pictured), TIO now operates in six countries across three continents.

To commemorate the milestone, TIO launched its “Countdown to 15” campaign—15 days of digital content spotlighting major moments in its history, including expansion into new regions, member stories, and milestones such as the group’s entry into the UK and Ireland markets.

International Gatherings Recognize Milestone

Regional chapters of TIO are hosting events to bring members together for the occasion. TIO UKI held its annual conference in Barcelona, and members in Australia and New Zealand are scheduled to gather in Fiji for a dedicated anniversary celebration.

Duncan stated, “TIO began with a belief that we could do things differently and better for our patients and practices. 15 years later, our community has proven what’s possible when orthodontists work together with a shared vision.”

Community Growth and Strategic Focus

Since its founding, TIO has created global communities of specialist orthodontists. The group provides strategic marketing, business consultancy, and practice growth tools to help members scale their clear aligner case volume. According to the organization, member practices have increased clear aligner volume significantly within their first 3 years.

Looking Ahead to Digital Expansion and AI Integration

TIO CEO Tim Donoghue noted that the organization’s next phase will include further investment in digital capabilities and support systems for members. “The next few years will be about expanding digital capabilities, deepening member value, and continuing to lead the AI innovation in orthodontic practices movement globally,” he said.
