Owandy Radiology Inc has introduced the third-generation Opteo Intraoral Sensor, offering enhanced resolution, speed, and workflow features.
Owandy Radiology Inc, a dental radiology hardware and imaging software company, recently introduced its latest innovation, the third-generation Opteo Intraoral Sensor, engineered to deliver improved image clarity, speed, and reliability.
Ultra HD Imaging and Automatic Exposure Adaptation
The new Opteo Sensor features 18.5-micron Ultra HD resolution designed to support greater diagnostic precision. According to the company, this allows clinicians to visualize and document fine anatomical details more effectively.
The sensor incorporates Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, which allows it to automatically adjust to different exposure levels. This feature is intended to provide consistently sharp images and reduce the need for retakes.
Workflow Efficiency and Expanded Imaging Area
To further streamline workflow, the Opteo Sensor uses “Always On” technology that eliminates warm-up time. The introduction of a new 1.5 sensor size also allows for wider diagnostic coverage, capable of capturing up to four teeth in a single image. This new size complements the existing size 1 and size 2 options.
Integration, Durability, and Clinical Applications
The sensor connects via direct USB, offering a simplified setup for single or multi-workstation environments. Built with durable components including a CMOS chip, fiber optics, and a shock-absorption system, the Opteo Sensor is designed for long-term clinical use.
