Dentsply Sirona is refocusing attention on SureSmile robotically bent wires, citing past studies that show reduced treatment time and fewer appointments.
Dentsply Sirona is drawing renewed attention to its SureSmile robotically bent wires, pointing to retrospective studies that support the system’s efficiency and clinical effectiveness.
The company says the wires—which integrate digital treatment planning with robotic wire bending—have been shown in past studies to reduce treatment time by 30% and require fewer in-office visits compared to conventional straight wire methods. The wires are compatible with most brackets and applicable across a range of case types, including surgical cases.
“SureSmile robotically bent wires bring together digital treatment planning and precision manufacturing, helping clinicians to deliver high-quality care while optimizing efficiency,” said Jill Uhryniak, group vice president, orthodontics and aligner solutions at Dentsply Sirona.
Orthodontist Ed Lin, DDS, MS, of Green Bay, Wis, noted the product’s clinical benefits, saying ,“SureSmile robotically bent wires offer a compelling alternative with documented results, making it easier to complete our patients’ treatments with fewer appointments and shorter treatment times without compromising on treatment quality.”
SureSmile is part of a broader digital orthodontic platform offered by Dentsply Sirona that includes aligners, indirect bonding trays, and digital lab support.
