Dentsply Sirona has named Matthew E. Garth as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective May 30, 2025.
Dentsply Sirona announced the appointment of Matthew E. Garth as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective May 30, 2025. Garth brings nearly three decades of experience in financial leadership and strategic transformation across several multinational corporations.
Broad financial leadership experience
Prior to joining Dentsply Sirona, Garth most recently served as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, where he helped steer the company through post-pandemic challenges and oversaw development of long-term strategic plans. His earlier career includes senior roles at Minerals Technologies Inc and Alcoa Corp, where he managed finance, investor relations, IT, and global treasury functions.
Leadership to support strategic growth

Background and education
Garth holds a bachelor of science in accounting from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Columbia University. He began his career at Thomson Financial and has since built a career in financial management with a focus on operational stability and shareholder value.
