Smile Reminder, a practice-to-patient communications company, introduces a “Refer a Friend” feature, which provides an way for orthodontists to grow their practices using their existing patients.
Embedded in all appointment reminders, newsletters, and post-appointment surveys, the Refer a Friend tool makes it easy for patients to pass along a recommendation to their family and friends. Each referral message is customizable and can be sent to three friends inviting them to be contacted by the physician.
Within the Smile Reminder account dashboard, orthodontists not only see patients who are actively referring people to their practice, but also monitor the value of those referrals as they become patients and receive treatment.
“In the first few days of implementation, Smile Reminder users immediately began to see results,” said Jim Higgins, CEO of Smile Reminder. “A large number of referrals have been generated from our customers’ patients. Many of those who received referrals have responded to the invitations and some have already made appointments and received treatment. This success is just another example of the power and immediacy of electronic communication and the value of using Smile Reminder.”
