Defend has added 20% more cotton to its cotton-filled gauze sponges The eight-ply sponges, made of 100% cotton filled USP gauze, are now more absorbent and shred-resistant, according to the company. The 2-inch x 2-inch pads are available sterile or nonsterile, and come in cases of 5,000.
