Independent testing confirms the NOMAD Pro 2 handheld X-ray system from DEXIS exceeds IEC safety standards and emits significantly less radiation than a leading competitor.
DEXIS announced new results from independent radiation testing of its handheld, portable X-ray system, the NOMAD Pro 2. According to the company, the results show the device meets and exceeds the latest IEC standards and produces seven times less X-ray radiation leakage at the trigger compared to a leading competitor.
Focus on Radiation Safety
The company says these findings support its continued focus on radiation safety for both patients and clinical staff. The reduced radiation exposure is aimed at giving clinicians greater confidence during use.
“The NOMAD Pro 2 reflects years of scientific advancement and field experience,” said Rainer Harjunpää, VP for regulatory affairs at DEXIS. “As the pioneers of portable X-ray technology, DEXIS has built a system that not only meets but exceeds rigorous safety and performance standards.”
Workflow and Imaging Efficiency
The NOMAD Pro 2 is designed to improve workflow by enabling chairside imaging without the need for cords or wall-mounted equipment. The portable and handheld design allows clinicians to reduce patient movement, minimize image retakes, and improve comfort while maintaining image quality.
Designed for Clinical Versatility
According to the company, the NOMAD Pro 2 is adaptable to a range of clinical settings and features long battery life to support uninterrupted use. The system aims to combine mobility and imaging efficiency without compromising performance.
