The new system features specialized bristles for cleaning around braces and a UV sanitizing and charging hub.
SuperMouth has unveiled its Ultim8 SmartBrush System Ortho-Edition, an electric toothbrush designed for patients during every stage of orthodontic treatment. The system features patented bristles engineered for cleaning around braces and a hub that sanitizes, dries, and charges the device.
System Designed for Orthodontic Appliances
The Ultim8 Ortho SmartBrush is equipped with patented SuperBristles Ortho, which the company states cleans up to 60 times more effectively around braces than a manual brush. The specialized bristles were developed after scanning thousands of teeth with braces and are designed to adapt to the contours of orthodontic appliances, including brackets and aligner attachments. The brush heads use soft PBT filaments and have three times more bristles than standard brushes.
“Following years of patient care, we identified the unique hygiene challenges of orthodontic patients and where ordinary brushes fall short. This system was created to fill those gaps,” says Dr Kami Hoss, founder of SuperMouth, in a release. “With bristles that clean up to 60 times more effectively and features that ensure a deeper clean, our goal is to support patients through every stage of their smile journey.”
Hub and Travel Case Features
The system’s Ultim8 SmartHub is an all-in-one station that stores, charges, sanitizes, and dries the brush. It includes a 5-minute UV sanitizer that eliminates 99.9% of germs and a built-in dryer for use between brushings. The hub’s cap also functions as a rinse cup.
For portability, the available Travel SmartCase includes a UV sanitizer, a rechargeable battery, and storage for travel-sized toothpaste and floss.
Brushing Modes and Additional Features
The toothbrush offers four sonic cleaning modes: Ortho, Super, Sensitive, and Smart. The Ortho mode is designed specifically for patients with braces or aligners, while the Smart mode adapts to real-time brushing pressure. A pressure sensor provides visual feedback to prevent over-brushing.
Other features include a 2-minute SmartTimer with 30-second quadrant reminders, a waterproof design for use in the shower, and multiple charging options, including wireless charging and a charger in the base.

The Ultim8 SmartBrush System Ortho-Edition is available for purchase at SuperMouth.com, with Amazon availability planned for a later date. The system is offered in two versions: $199.99 for the SmartBrush, SmartHub, and Travel SmartCase, and $169.99 for the SmartBrush and SmartHub. Both versions are available in Sapphire Blue, Pearly White, and Rose Gold.
