The new IS Connect Cloud for Labs is designed to streamline digital case collaboration between orthodontic practices and labs.

DEXIS has announced advancements to its lab-to-clinic workflow solutions, centered on the launch of the new IS Connect Cloud for Labs. The announcement was made during industry events in Chicago.

IS Connect Cloud for Labs

The update transitions the IS Connect platform entirely to the cloud, aiming to provide labs with easier access and greater flexibility. The software features a new user interface and is an open platform that enables integrations with Lab Management Systems and other software.

Additional features include support for multiple users per site and the ability for labs to add their specific service offerings directly to the platform. To simplify partnerships, DEXIS has also introduced a new API within the platform to reduce development complexity for integration partners.

“Labs are essential to delivering outstanding patient care, and we want every interaction with DEXIS to feel seamless,” says Robert Befidi, president of DEXIS, in a release. “These enhancements and integrations are focused on removing friction—making it easier for labs to connect with clinics, and for clinics to trust the workflow behind every case.”

Expanded Platform Integrations

DEXIS also announced expanded collaborations with other industry companies to allow labs to work with their preferred tools while remaining connected to clinics. New integrations include:

  • Amann Girrbach: Enables faster data exchange between clinics and labs to simplify digital case collaboration.
  • exocad: Strengthens connectivity between scanning, design, and production to help move from capture to fabrication.
  • Labtrac: Connects clinical data with lab management operations to improve case tracking and communication.

The company will be demonstrating the workflow advancements at LMT Lab Day and the Chicago Midwinter Meeting.
