Medit has launched Medit Aligners, a new clear aligner solution integrated with its Medit Orthodontic Suite, now available in the United States.
Medit has introduced Medit Aligners, a digital clear aligner solution that integrates with the Medit Orthodontic Suite (MOS), enabling orthodontists to simulate, design, and initiate aligner treatment in a single visit, according to the company. The new solution is now available in the United States.
Integrated Workflow
The Medit Aligners system connects directly with MOS, giving orthodontists the ability to oversee the entire treatment process from intraoral scan to aligner production. This integrated workflow is designed to reduce turnaround times and increase clinical control.
“With Medit Aligners, we are closing the gap between digital planning and treatment delivery,” said Han Ryu, chief executive officer at Medit. “Orthodontists can now manage the entire workflow in Medit Orthodontic Suite—disrupting the traditional workflow—faster, more cost-effectively, and with complete control.”
Treatment Planning and Same-Day Starts
Using built-in AI, Medit Aligners can generate multiple clinically realistic treatment simulations from intraoral scans, according to the company. This allows orthodontists to review and finalize treatment plans during the same patient visit. The system supports same-day starts by enabling scan, simulation, planning, and design of aligners in a single session.
Elimination of Third-Party Steps
The company says that by allowing orthodontists to manage treatment design and simulation in-house, the system removes the need for outsourcing or third-party approvals. This streamlines the workflow and provides editorial control over aligner plans.
