DentalEZ® Group, Malvern, Pa, recently introduced the RAMVAC® Amalgam HoG, a high-efficiency filtration system designed to safely and effectively remove harmful waste in an environmentally responsible manner.
Powered by Apavia® water filtration technology, the Amalgam HoG employs advanced vacuum technology and features a retention rate of 99.7%. In addition, it is equipped with an advanced cyclonic filtration system designed to efficiently and effectively separate and remove amalgam, mercury, alloy, and other contaminants from the waterline, as well as protect and extend the lifespan of the vacuum pump and eliminate harmful waste going into the environment.
The Amalgam HoG features a large-tank capacity capable of servicing up to 10 water systems at one time. Large replacement canisters are aimed at reducing the frequency of change-outs and are universally molded with industry-standard connections that fit all existing installed units. This design enables canister removal and replacement without tools, and the Amalgam HoG’s clear exterior provides users with a visual fill-level inspection. All replacement canisters are environmentally safe and recyclable.
Amalgam HoG filters come with a handle designed for lightweight and easy removal, a bag for proper disposal, and a double O-ring bottom canister exchange. The filters comply with all existing and pending state regulations, meet proposed EPA regulations, and are compatible with all new standards. The filters are NSF-certified ISO 11143:2008, and they comply with the American Dental Association’s best management practices designed to protect the clinician, staff, and patient.
