The ADA Board of Trustees voted to cancel the in-person gathering, originally scheduled for October in Orlando, Fla.

The American Dental Association (ADA) announced that its annual meeting, scheduled for October 15 to 18, in Orlando, Fla, will not go ahead as an in-person event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ADA Board of Trustees voted June 12 to cancel the in-person gathering.

Currently, the ADA, along with the Florida Dental Convention, are exploring virtual options for the meeting and will share more information as it becomes available.

The associations had previously postponed registration for the meeting, which was originally scheduled to open in April.
