The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) has issued an open call for program ideas for its Annual Infection Control Symposium, June 2 to 4, 2016, in San Diego. OSAP is inviting proposals for educational programs, session content, or speakers. The OSAP’s objective is to cast the widest possible net to ensure that the 2016 program is “rich with new content and speakers.”

According to a press release, the goal of the 2016 OSAP Symposium is “to create and empower champions in the safe delivery of oral healthcare through didactic, interactive, and networking sessions.” The Symposium will address evolving guidance, compliance, and emerging infection prevention and safety issues.

OSAP invites submissions of ideas for programs from 15 minutes to 2 hours long, in any kind of format (single speaker, panel, workshop, etc), and using a presentation format ranging from standard lecture to PowerPoint, video, or audience interactivity. Programs should relate to current and emerging issues involving infection prevention and safety in oral healthcare settings, and ideally should include resources, tools, and networks to optimize compliance.

Proposals must be submitted by November 6, 2015. OSAP will notify all submitters as to the acceptance decision by November 30, 2015. The submission form is available at http://www.osap.org/resource/resmgr/Symposium_2016/OSAP.call_for_programs.doc.

Attendee registration for the annual OSAP Symposium opens December 1, 2015.
