The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) named Michelle Lee, CPC, as its new executive director.

OSAP is a community of clinicians, educators, consultants, researchers, and industry representatives who advocate for the Safest Dental Visit.

Lee replaces Andy Whitehead, interim executive director.

“Michelle’s real-world business acumen and executive leadership made her an impressive candidate, but it’s her loyal involvement, understanding of the dental industry, and ideas of how to develop and evolve the organization that made her a perfect fit for the position,” Whitehead said.

As executive director, Lee will develop strategic vision for the organization moving forward. She will work with the OSAP board of directors to leverage her insights to enhance OSAP’s membership offerings, introduce new marketing initiatives, and expand the reach of the organization.

Lee comes to OSAP with more than 30 years of experience in the dental and healthcare industries. Prior to OSAP, she worked at DDS Staffing Resources as president and CEO. Most recently, Lee shared her dental and business knowledge with dental practices by serving as managing partner, practice development and training with Tower Leadership.

Lee has spoken at multiple association events, including the Georgia Dental Hygienists’ Association, the Georgia Dental Association, Dental Office Management Association, and dental hygiene programs and dental schools throughout the Southeast.

“I love the dental industry. It is a deeply rewarding career path and I’m thrilled to extend my expertise to a wonderful organization like OSAP,” Lee said. “I’m excited to work with the OSAP board on the strategic plan, getting to know our membership and look forward to spreading the critical message of providing the Safest Dental Visit.”
