Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA) has hired Jason Daughn to serve as its vice president of government relations. In his role, Daughn will set the government relations strategic direction, direct lobbying efforts, and manage political operations for DDPA, the national association of Delta Dental member companies.
Delta Dental member companies have an enrollment of over 73 million Americans.
Daughn, who will be based in Washington, DC, has over 20 years of experience as a strategist in both the public and private sectors, most recently serving as managing principal for Three Arch Strategies, a public affairs firm. He also served for 8 years as vice president of government affairs for Cambia Health Solutions.
“Jason is a skilled advocate who knows how to build coalitions and consensus. In today’s changing health care environment, it’s essential to have someone of Jason’s background to help direct DDPA’s federal strategy,” said Steve Olson, DDPA president and CEO. “He is a great addition to DDPA as we continue to ensure Americans have access to quality oral health care.”
Daughn also served for 8 years as a senior advisor to US Senator Ron Wyden, ranking member of the US Senate Finance Committee, where he was the senator’s chief liaison to the private sector.
“Delta Dental has a strong reputation as an industry leader dedicated to the important mission of improving the nation’s oral health, which plays a crucial role in people’s overall health,” said Daughn. “As the health care landscape continues to evolve, I’m looking forward to advancing that mission with policy leaders and stakeholders.”
