Oral Health America (OHA), Chicago, announced three new additions to its Board of Directors. Joshua Daab, vice president of sales for Atlantic Precious Metal Refining; Teresa Dolan, DDS, MPH, vice president and chief clinical officer at DENTSPLY International; and Anne Steinbock, vice president of marketing and sales at Whip Mix Corp, have been elected to serve 2-year terms.
Daab has been with Atlantic Precious Metal Refining since 2009. He previously worked for KaVo America, Ward Adhesives, and Lucas-Milhaupt, and founded the Daab Dental Distributing Company and the Baker Dental Corp.
Dolan joined DENTSPLY International in 2013 as vice president and chief clinical officer. She previously served as the dean of the College of Dentistry for the University of Florida for 10 years, starting at the university as an assistant professor in 1989, focusing on geriatric dentistry and dental public health throughout her academic career. She is active with the American Board of Dental Public Health and the American Dental Education Association.
Steinbock has been with Whip Mix since 1986, serving as marketing director until 2006, sales director until 2007, and her current position as vice president of marketing and sales since 2007, making her part of the third generation of the Steinbock family to lead the privately held company. She has been a member of the National Association of Dental Laboratories and the International Association of Dental Research since 1986, a member of the Dental Trade Alliance since 2004, and a member of the American Dental Education Association since 2009. In 2012, she was named one of the top 25 women in dentistry by Aegis Communications.
Through Smiles Across America®, which serves 400,000 children annually, the Wisdom Tooth Project™, which reaches tens of thousands of older adults, and the Campaign for Oral Health Equity, which prioritizes oral health alongside other chronic diseases, OHA provides needed oral health care and education, with the aim of helping Americans of all ages to have a healthy mouth and understand the importance of oral health for overall health.
