Drs Brandon Boggan, Ryan Booth, and Sean Holliday join the Schulman Group DSO Board of Directors, serving 3-year terms.

SG Management LLC (The Schulman Group), a member-owned dental support organization (DSO), announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors to serve 3-year terms. The new members are Brandon Boggan, DMD, MS, who has offices located in Pelham and Calera, Ala; Ryan Booth, DDS, MSD, who has an office in Homer Glen, Ill; and Sean Holliday, DDS, MS, who has offices in Pearl City, Kailua, Kahala, and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Established 35 years ago as a study group, the Schulman Group re-organized in 2018 as a member-owned “inside” DSO, a business model comprised of independent practice owners who reportedly use collective purchasing power to provide member shareholders with competitive pricing and services through preferred supplier agreements and non-clinical practice management solutions. SG Management also purchases orthodontic practices from those who wish to sell based on their needs and time frame.

Members continue to “run their own patient-centered practices,” said Robert James Bray, DDS, MS, the Schulman Group’s chairman and CEO.

According to a press release from the company, to manage practice overhead, Schulman Group members have the option of doing business with more than 20 preferred providers. Members, however, are not required to do business with preferred providers. As independent owners, members’ practice management decisions are theirs, alone, to make.

Currently, the Schulman Group has 147 members representing 116 practices and more than 300 office locations in 42 states.
