Smile Doctors, a U.S.-based orthodontic support organization (OSO), announced that it ended 2024 strong, achieving organic year-over-year growth. In addition, the company reported the continued expansion of its Joint Venture model, entry into four new states—South Dakota, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, and an investment into its senior leadership team, positioning the company to continue its growth through 2025. 

Network Growth and New State Entries

2024 saw the addition of 31 affiliated locations and the opening of five de novo practices, with 10 more planned for 2025. The most recent partnerships include Mack Orthodontics (Iowa), led by Dr Steven J. Mack, and Dunn Orthodontics (Indiana), led by Dr Christopher S. Dunn. 

The Smile Doctors network of affiliated practices now includes more than 460 locations across 32 states.

Senior leadership hires include Jon Kaufman as chief marketing and strategy officer; Tonya Ramsey as chief legal officer; Jon Morgan as senior vice president of revenue cycle management; Stephen Chapman as vice president of field sales and marketing; Joseph Halford as vice president, corporate finance; and Treena Girodo-Lauer as vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer. Meanwhile, Shelli McNabb was promoted to vice president, operations excellence and Kelly Cantrell was promoted to director of doctor recruitment.
