Smile Doctors added six new affiliate practices and opened a de novo location in Baltimore in Q1 2025, building on its March acquisition of myOrthos and expanding its national footprint.
Smile Doctors announced the addition of six new affiliate practices and the opening of a de novo office in Baltimore, marking continued national growth through strategic partnerships and expansion efforts in the first quarter of 2025.
Q1 Growth Includes Six New Affiliates Across Six States
The six practices joining Smile Doctors span six states and bring 16 new locations into the network:
- Hatcher & Frey Orthodontics (Virginia) โ Drs William Hatcher, Scott Frey, Gregory Hutchins, and Valerie LaScala
- Local Orthodontics (Tennessee) โ Dr John Marshall Jewett
- Hughes Orthodontics (Virginia) โ Drs Justin Hughes and Herbert Hughes
- Zambrano Orthodontics (Florida) โ Drs Jaime Zambrano and Michael Karp
- GO Orthodontics (Mississippi & Tennessee) โ Drs R. Todd Gililland, Shawn O’Bannon, Morgan W. Gonder, and Shane Radford
- Eberle Orthodontics (Kentucky) โ Dr Scott J. Eberle

Baltimore De Novo Opens in January
In addition to new affiliations, Smile Doctors partnered with Dr Amanda Gallagher to open a de novo office in The Village of Cross Keys in Baltimore, Mdโher fifth practice location in the state. The office opened in January.

myOrthos Acquisition Adds 70+ Locations and New States
The Q1 expansions follow Smile Doctorsโ March acquisition of myOrthos, a 70+ location orthodontic support organization operating in 13 states. That deal expanded Smile Doctors’ national footprint to more than 550 supported locations across 36 states, adding provider density in existing markets and entering four new states: Delaware, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
