The acquisition brings the moisture control product fully under the Great Lakes umbrella and integrates Dental Health Products employees into the company.
Great Lakes Dental Technologies has acquired Dental Health Products, the manufacturer of Dri-Angle.
Expanding Product Distribution
Designed by a dentist, the Dri-Angle serves as an alternative to traditional cotton rolls. It covers the parotid area to restrict saliva flow, maintaining a dry field during procedures such as bonding and cementing.
“The Dri-Angle has been part of Great Lakes’ product line for over 20 years,” says David Josza, president and CEO of Great Lakes, in a release. “We understand the importance of this unique product to doctors and dental offices. This is a perfect marriage of a good, hard-working chairside product and Great Lakes’ ability to leverage our distribution network, broadening Dri-Angle availability worldwide.”
Operational Consolidation
Following the acquisition, Dental Health Products has shifted its operations to the Great Lakes headquarters in Tonawanda, NY. The acquired company was previously located less than 15 miles away.
Employees from Dental Health Products have transitioned to become part of Great Lakes, which operates as an employee-owned company. Great Lakes currently employs more than 200 employee-owners who manufacture and develop products for the orthodontic, restorative, dental, and sleep and airway markets.
