WhipMix Jim_MyersWhip Mix Corp, Louisville, Ky, has named James W. Myers (pictured) as its new president. Myers succeeds Allen F. Steinbock who will continue as the company’s CEO and chairman of the board.

Myers has been at Whip Mix for 10 years as vice president of manufacturing, managing the company’s Louisville and Fort Collins, Colo, plants. In 2011, Myers was awarded the Kentucky Manufacturing Employee of the Year Award by the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers. Previously, Myers worked at Lear Corp and Teledyne Packaging in a variety of supply chain and manufacturing management positions.

Myers is the first non-family president in the company’s history.

As CEO and board chairman, Steinbock’s focus will remain on strategic issues, shareholder relations, and board development.
