EnvisionTEC, Dearborn, Mich, has announced the release of E-Appliance, a 3D printing material used for making orthodontic models. E-Appliance is a nano-filled, resin material that works with EnvisionTEC’s Perfactory DLP and 3SP 3D dental-specific printers.
E-Appliance utilizes polyvinyl, alcohol-based separators, and a tinfoil substitute to produce an orthodontic appliance using a “salt-and-pepper” technique. According to the company, E-Appliance’s surface accepts a wide range of separator mediums for perfect removal of the finished appliance from the model.
EnvisionTEC products are compatible with a wide range of software, including 3Shape and Dental Wings.
