The Schulman Study Group (SSG), a nationally recognized association of orthodontic practices, voted unanimously to adopt the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation. The non-profit Smile for a Lifetime Foundation was launched in 2008 to provide orthodontic care to individuals who may not have the opportunity to acquire assistance.
The Schulman Study Group, with membership exclusively by invitation, has developed over the last 25 years into an organization of 125 orthodontic practices in the US and Canada.
“With the Schulman Study Group’s decision, Smile for a Lifetime Foundation will grow from a collection of a few orthodontists treating dozens of cases per year to an organization that has the ability to spread throughout North America and treat thousands of children in desperate need of orthodontic care,” said Benjamin G. Burris, DDS, founder and national board member of Smile for a Lifetime. “The Schulman Group’s motto is ‘Success Through Sharing,’ and adopting Smile for a Lifetime continues the group’s long history of changing lives one smile at a time.”
