The conference, scheduled for February, will include both an in-person and virtual option for CE credit, as COVID-19 continues to impact meetings.

The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) announced that the 2021 Winter Conference will focus on clear aligner treatment. Scheduled for February 12 to 14, 2021, the conference will take an intensive look at the latest research and clinical outcomes for patients treated with clear aligners.

The AAO is providing attendees with two CE credit options, in-person attendance and virtual attendance—recognizing the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The in-person meeting will take place at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa near Palm Springs, Calif. Attendance will be limited in order to comply with social distancing requirements. Meanwhile, a virtual Winter Conference option will be offered and will include a live feed of all lectures from the in-person conference. Exhibitor lectures and a virtual exhibit hall will also be available.

Speakers include Drs Mario Chorak, Tim Dumore, Ken Fischer, Bill Gierie, Sean Holliday, Ed Lin, Diego Peydro, and Nick Salome. Panel discussions following the lectures will allow both in-person and virtual participants to ask the speakers questions.

Additional information, including lecture titles, will be available in July.

Registration will open on August 10, 2020.
