Opal Orthodontics, South Jordan, Utah, will host the first annual women’s conference for female orthodontists. The conference will take place June 10 to 11, 2010, in Chicago.

The event offers networking opportunities for orthodontists and their staff, as well as CE credit hours. Attendees can receive 8 CE credit hours for $199. Students, faculty, and staff may attend at no cost.

Lecture topics will include a comparison between self-ligating and traditional ligating bracket systems, techniques for improving the aesthetics of orthodontic treatment, clerical and clinical protocols for an efficient orthodontic practice, and how to balance a personal and professional career. All the lectures will be conducted from a female perspective.
