Ormco Corp, Orange, Calif, announced that The Forum 2016 was one of its most successful events to date, and the first time the annual user conference sold out. Over 1,400 orthodontic professionals from 32 countries attended the 15th annual event held in February in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. The event offered 99 workshops, including clinical mentoring sessions, panel discussions, and collaborative opportunities with 40 speakers and mentors. Clinical lectures featured well-known orthodontists Drs Dwight Damon, Chris Chang, Stuart Frost, and Ramon Perèra.

Forum 2016 featured workshops addressing beginner to advanced content on passive self-ligation mechanics, finishing, open bites, Class II and III treatment, digital smile design, and practice enhancement. In addition, the clinical mentoring sessions, introduced this year, offered attendees collaborative discussion opportunities.

Damon—inventor of the Damon™ System–delivered a presentation at The Forum’s general session, unveiling his vision for the future of orthodontics and discussing how he and Ormco are working closely to develop appliances that will advance the standard of orthodontic care.

The Forum 2017 is scheduled to take place February 22 to 25, 2017, in Orlando, Fla.
