The collaboration brings the EAGLEi threat management platform to dental practices using TechCentral IT infrastructure.
Black Talon Security has announced a strategic reseller agreement with Henry Schein One’s TechCentral to provide the EAGLEi cybersecurity solution to dental clients. The enterprise-grade platform provides continuous threat exposure management tailored specifically for dental practices nationwide.
The collaboration combines Henry Schein One TechCentral’s IT infrastructure and practice management solutions with Black Talon’s security capabilities. The integrated solution is designed to work natively alongside a practice’s existing technology environment, bringing advanced cybersecurity capabilities to organizations utilizing practice management platforms, including Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the team at Henry Schein One to make sophisticated cybersecurity practical and accessible for dental practices,” says Gary Salman, chief executive officer at Black Talon, in a release. “Our shared philosophy acknowledges that strong IT operations and dedicated cybersecurity must work hand-in-hand. With more than 2,400 dental locations already relying on Black Talon as their cyber expert, this channel relationship with TechCentral made sense to ensure the customers they serve are secured by a solution that understands the unique needs of dental practices.”
Platform Features Continuous Monitoring
The EAGLEi platform is designed to address modern cyber threats, such as ransomware and social engineering, moving practices from sporadic security checks to a state of continuous cyber readiness. Key capabilities include 24/7 threat monitoring managed by a security operations center utilizing behavior-based technology to intercept anomalies before breaches occur.
The system also features autonomous vulnerability management, which uses automated software agents to scan endpoints six times a day and remediate up to 70% of identified system vulnerabilities.
Defense Validation and Training
Additional features include daily firewall testing and biannual penetration testing executed by ethical hackers to validate technical defenses. The platform also provides continuous education modules designed around active clinical and front-desk workflows to fulfill HIPAA requirements for cybersecurity training.
“Dental practices increasingly need access to the kind of advanced security capabilities that were once available only to large enterprises,” says Alan Rencher, chief technology officer at Henry Schein One, in a release. “By making EAGLEi available to our TechCentral customers, we are giving practices a path to more sophisticated threat detection, monitoring, and response than traditional IT tools provide.”
Management and Availability
EAGLEi provides centralized risk reporting and standardizes security controls across an organization. A dashboard translates technical threat data into a non-technical format, allowing executive leadership and IT teams at dental service organizations to collaborate from a single view of the organization’s security posture.
EAGLEi by Black Talon is available for dental organizations using Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend platforms with an active TechCentral Care or Omnicore subscription.
