Align Technology has launched ClinCheck Live Plan to automate Invisalign treatment planning and announced new updates to its iTero digital tools.
Align Technology Inc has announced ClinCheck Live Plan, a new feature that generates an initial Invisalign treatment plan in about 15 minutes, and unveiled several updates to its iTero Digital Solutions system.
ClinCheck Live Plan Enables Faster Treatment Planning
ClinCheck Live Plan allows doctors to receive a doctor-ready initial treatment plan approximately 15 minutes after submitting an eligible case with a completed Flex Rx prescription and iTero scan. The system applies the doctor’s configured clinical preferences and performs internal quality checks before returning the plan for review.
“ClinCheck Live Plan marks a significant point in Align’s multi-year initiative to reimagine the Invisalign digital treatment planning experience, with the aim of improving practice growth and efficiency — giving more time back to doctors,” said Sreelakshmi Kolli, executive vice president, chief product and digital officer at Align Technology.
With this feature, doctors can review and approve a treatment plan while the patient is still in the office, potentially accelerating the start of treatment and increasing office efficiency. Over 1 million Invisalign cases have been submitted using Flex Rx, and usage has doubled annually.
The company plans to roll out ClinCheck Live Plan globally starting in the first quarter of 2026. It will be available to Invisalign-trained doctors using the ClinCheck signature experience with a preferences template and Flex Rx submission.

Updates to iTero Digital Solutions
Align also introduced enhancements to its iTero Digital Solutions ecosystem, including the Align Oral Health Suite and expanded capabilities in the iTero Design Suite. The Oral Health Suite includes a Patient Gallery for supplemental image documentation and a simplified Oral Health Report with annotation and QR code sharing.
The Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro with Smile Video provides dynamic, in-face visualizations with natural mouth movements, designed to increase chairside treatment acceptance. It supports both orthodontic and ortho-restorative treatment simulations and allows for personalization of simulation cases.
The updated iTero Design Suite now supports a broader range of 3D printers and milling machines and includes a new mock-up workflow for single-visit dentistry. Integration of Near Infra-Red Imaging and HD intraoral images supports detailed restoration design.
Align continues to provide training and support resources for practices adopting these new tools.
