i-CAT, Hatfield, Pa, announced that its i-CAT FLX cone beam 3D imaging system has won the Pride Institute’s “Best of Class” Technology Award. The i-CAT FLX is the most recent addition to the i-CAT brand.
i-CAT FLX is designed to deliver greater image clarity and control over low-dose scanning across a range of dental specialties, according to the company. The system includes Visual iQuity™ image technology, as well as SmartScan STUDIO and QuickScan+, which allows clinicians to select the most appropriate scan for each patient, including a full-dentition 3D scan at a lower dose than a panoramic image. The i-CAT FLX also features a touchscreen interface.
The Pride Institute Best of Class Technology awards were launched in 2009 to provide an objective, nonprofit assessment of available technologies for the dental community.
