According to an article in The Ithaca Journal, Robert Baker Sr, DDS, of Ithaca, NY, has won the Eastman Dental Center Director’s Excellence Award and the 2007 Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedics Division Award for his contributions to advancing dental education, research, and oral health care.

Baker’s tenure on the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine’s Board of Overseers and the Board of Trustees of Ithaca College, as well as has service as a financial adviser to the Board of Trustees of the ADA, are among his list of professional contributions and accomplishments.

The Eastman Dental Center treats Rochester-area patients by providing general and specialized dentistry, including pediatrics, periodontology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, and prosthodontics. Established in 1941, the Eastman Dental Center is the only major postdoctoral dental education, research, and clinical institution in the United States within an academic medical center.
