Dentsply Sirona will launch its DS Core Diagnose features in the U.S. this October, previewing the AI-driven diagnostic tools at DS World Las Vegas.

Dentsply Sirona will introduce its DS Core Diagnose features to the U.S. market in early October, with a preview scheduled during DS World Las Vegas from September 26 to 28.

AI-Based Diagnostic Capabilities

The new DS Core Diagnose features use artificial intelligence to enhance 3D X-ray diagnostics. Built into the DS Core platform, the tools allow practitioners to access Dentsply Sirona X-ray data from any device and store information securely in the cloud. According to the company, this is intended to reduce IT complexity while supporting diagnostic and patient consultation workflows.

“Connecting different technologies and simplifying their use is the north star of digital dentistry. Embedding AI in different workflows is essential to achieve this. With new diagnostic capabilities on DS Core such as AI-driven illustrations of anatomies we are taking a further step. And that’s just one of the innovations we will show at DS World Las Vegas. A further highlight will be integrations with solutions from other players,” said Max Milz, Group Vice President, Connected Technology Solutions at Dentsply Sirona.

Integration with Existing Imaging Systems

Practices using Dentsply Sirona imaging systems such as Orthophos and Axeos will be able to access the new features directly in DS Core. Tools include AI-powered panoramic curve proposals and CBCT-based anatomical illustrations for patient communication. The platform supports access from workstations, treatment center displays, and tablets.

Cloud-Based Workflow and Data Access

DS Core Diagnose consolidates X-rays, intraoral scans, and annotations into a digital canvas to streamline communication and consultation. Practitioners can share treatment plans and visuals with patients immediately after consultations and access data remotely, both within and outside the practice. Imaging data is stored in a secure cloud environment, reducing reliance on local installations and hardware.

Dentsply Sirona stated that the release of DS Core Diagnose is part of its broader effort to simplify digital workflows and expand the role of AI in clinical practice.
