Grin appointed health information technology veteran Jeff Margolis to join the company’s board of directors and help guide its expansion of telehealth offerings.

Digital orthodontic platform provider Grin announced that Jeff Margolis has joined the company’s board of directors.

Margolis has 35-years of experience in health information technology that he is expected to apply to help Grin expand its teledental system.

Grin’s suite of remote-use devices include remote monitoring and consultation capabilities designed to streamline provider and patient experiences while improving cost efficiency and increasing access to services.

Margolis serves on multiple for-profit and not-for-profit boards in the healthcare services and healthcare information technology industry, as is a senior advisor to Blackstone.

He was most recently chairman at Welltok, recently acquired by Virgin Pulse. Prior to that, Margolis was the founding chairman and chief executive officer of TriZetto, the first industry vertical SaaS enterprise solution.

Margolis is a board leadership fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors, holds a CPA (inactive) license, and carries a Certified Global Management Accountant designation. He has authored several books, his latest being Not Just in Sickness, But Also In Health.

“Jeff Margolis literally wrote the book on creating next generation healthcare ecosystems where everyone can achieve and sustain their optimal health—and that’s exactly the kind of experience we wanted to bring to our company,” said Adam Schulhof, DMD, Grin CEO. “Supercharging Grin with Jeff signals our ambition to bring Grin solutions to the masses, and exemplifies that we are building a formidable board to get there.”
