Readying Your Orthodontic Team for the COVID-19 Vaccine

This week marked a major turning point in the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccinations have begun. In this episode of In the Sterilization Room with Jackie, infection prevention expert Jackie Dorst, RDH, BS, talks about the vaccination process and what the orthodontic team needs to know. She provides a break down of the CDC tracking efforts for essential workers who have received the vaccine. Through the V-Safe app, the agency will be tracking any adverse effects following vaccination.

Jackie then provides advice on how best to schedule staff members for the vaccine to avoid potential disruption to the patient schedule. She also talks about the need for employee record keeping with regard to COVID-19 vaccination.
