Spring Health Products has expanded its product portfolio with the TC-3, a curing light featuring an 11 mm wide lens designed to provide coverage for larger surface areas. The TC-3 is part of the company’s THE CURE line of LED curing lights.
Technical Specifications and Performance
The TC-3 uses high-power LED technology to deliver a high intensity of 1400 mW/cm² and a low intensity of 700 mW/cm². Its multiwavelength LED has four diodes that produce light at 440 nm to 460 nm, a range capable of polymerizing most light-cured dental materials. According to the company, the device can penetrate porcelain to cure underlying resin cements and can achieve a uniform cure in six seconds. A digital timer can be set from two to 20 seconds.
Design and Ergonomics
The device features a flat-back, low-profile head for access to all areas of the mouth. The TC-3 is constructed with an all-metal housing and weighs 3.1 oz to reduce fatigue. Its ergonomic shape provides a comfortable grip with a diameter of ¾ of an inch. The cordless wand is battery-operated, and the batteries are changeable. The unit is made in the US.
