Practicon, Greenville, NC, now offers Shark Tray™ impression trays. The trays feature an extra large handle with “fins” for easier handling and passing. In addition, the trays have flexible, absorbent foam side walls that, according to the company, “gently manipulate soft tissue and cushion bony tori to reduce distortions and expensive remakes due to shifting occlusion and excess saliva.”
The trays are constructed from rigid plastic and feature side locks to help eliminate tears and pulls. According to Practicon, Shark Tray delivers impression material just to the teeth instead of all over the mouth so that overloading the tray is no longer necessary.
