Orchestrate_JUELLPrinterOrchestrate Orthodontic Technologies, Rialto, Calif, introduced its newest O3D JUELL 3D-2 printer, which uses DLP technology. According to the company, the O3D JUELL 3D-2 can rapidly produce a high volume of dental models for aligners, while maintaining accuracy.

This new generation of JUELL 3D uses the company’s JUELL 3D Flash OC printing software. This software builds models vertically in micro slices thinner than a human hair. Maximum height for a build is 230 mm; however, the software allows users to build at 50, 70, or 100 microns in the y-axis and 5 microns in the z-axis. Print area is 7.25 x 4.25 x 9 inches. The software can project an HD image with 1920 x 1080p resolution. Models are built at speeds as fast as 7 seconds per layer.

Print jobs using the O3D JUELL 3D-2 printer are scalable. Users can build a quadrant or 12 arches with supports. The layer build time remains the same, according to the company.

Orthodontic models for complete clear aligner treatment reportedly can be printed in under 30 minutes.

Models can be printed from STL, OBJ, 3DS, or AMF files.
