Planmeca, Helsinki, Finland, has introduced Planmeca Romexis® Insights, a web-based analytic service that allows clinics and group practices to evaluate operations data with its interactive dashboard views. The service provides real-time information on how their equipment operates and usage history.

Planmeca Romexis Insights service builds off the local network connectivity that has been included in a number of the company’s products in the last decade. The service provides a range of device analytics for tracking usage, trends, and patterns over time. Clinics can view device status and receive alerts as well as monitor patient counts and in-chair time for Planmeca dental units equipped with patient detection sensors. X-ray unit usage counts and device status are also available.

The Planmeca Romexis Insights service also includes features for supporting business intelligence and improving efficiency. An interactive user interface with drill-down graphing and adjustable timelines provides usage patterns for recognizing areas suitable for optimization, overviews for identifying quiet and busy hours, and time period comparisons for spotting trends. The service also provides comparisons of true equipment usage with receivables accounts, as well as real-time device status and history. Planmeca Romexis Insights gives users reports on consolidate utilization for multiple offices, ideal for group practices.

Planmeca Romexis Insights is an open system and supports products from other manufacturers. As an online service, it can be used on any supported browser, including on smartphones.
