Practicon, Greenville, NC, offers MedTies. Unlike elastic instrument ties, MedTies can be wound and twisted into any shape to secure instruments together for color-coded organization from precleaning through sterilization.
According to the company, the ties feature a tough outer elastomer shell that encases a strong, bendable core wire. The ties are steam and chemical autoclavable to 275° F.
MedTies are available in five colors and in 12- or 18-inch lengths.
