OrVance LLC, Ann Arbor, Mich, announced that OrthoDots® CLEAR—an orthodontic wax alternative—is now compliant for global sales. OrthoDots CLEAR, which has been available in the United States since the end of 2017, will launch this fall with select global and regional partners. It can now be sold in Canada, the European Union, Australia, and 24 other countries.
OrthoDots CLEAR combines a proprietary moisture activated adhesive with a medical-grade silicone. It can be used with all orthodontic appliances including clear aligner trays and attachments. OrthoDots CLEAR was created to meet the aesthetic demands of customers.
OrthoDots comes in hygienic single-use packaging, which allows for product traceability and tamper evidence, as is found with similar healthcare products.
In June, the company announced that it is funding a free product plan to all orthodontic resident programs in North America.
