KOMET USA, Rock Hill, SC, recently announced that field reports on the clinical applications of the company’s Q-Finishers indicate the instrument demonstrated noteworthy performance when used for orthodontic debonding procedures, according to an article on the Web site DentistryIQ.com.

The Q-Finisher bur features a cross-cut design. The Q-Finisher carbide’s noncutting tip is designed to minimize the potential for tissue impingement and trauma during orthodontic debonding.

The burs are available in four sizes for orthodontic debonding procedures: 0.12-mm diameter, 0.14-mm diameter, and  0.16-mm diameter.
