The Chicago Dental Society announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for February 2021 because of continued uncertainty due to the pandemic.

The Chicago Dental Society canceled the 2021 Midwinter Meeting, instead taking it online as uncertainty remains over the safety of large meetings amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual meeting was scheduled for February 25 to 27, 2021.

In an email, the Chicago Dental Society said attendees “will be able to participate in scientific programs and exhibits, featuring renowned clinicians and leaders in dental innovation presenting programs on a variety of topics geared for all members of the dental team.” The virtual meeting will provide interactive exhibitor booths that will allow attendees to check out new products and speak with company representatives. In addition, networking opportunities will be available.

The virtual 156th Midwinter Meeting will take place on the originally scheduled dates. Registration opens on November 2, 2020.
