Oral Health America (OHA), a national 510(c) non-profit charitable organization focused on improving access and advocating for oral health care, announced on its website that it has ceased operations and does not intend to renew operations.
The statement says the OHA board based the decision on “an unanticipated precipitous decline in contributions in the last quarter of 2018.” The organization said it does not aniticapte having sufficient capital and reserves to continue.
OHA is reviewing options to transition pending programs and projects to other entities with the financial ability to sustain or manage them. However, the organization says it cannot guarantee that such options are viable.
For individuals or entities that had previously received pledges of financial support from OHA, the organization said it will likely not have sufficient resources to honor these pledges.
