The organizations were recognized for utilizing digital dentistry to expand access to care, while Dentsply Sirona also earned an award for corporate social responsibility.

Dentsply Sirona and Smile Train have been awarded a 2026 Gold Halo Award in the Best Technology for Good Initiative category. The award recognizes the collaborative efforts of both organizations to utilize digital dentistry and clinical education to advance cleft care globally.

Presented by Engage for Good, the Halo Awards highlight partnerships between businesses and nonprofits that create measurable, positive changes for communities.

Digital Dentistry in Cleft Care

The partnership leverages digital dentistry solutions to expand reach, improve treatment planning, and support consistent care delivery.

“At Smile Train, we see every day how access to timely, high-quality cleft care can change a life,” says Susannah Schaefer, president and CEO of Smile Train, in a release. “Receiving a Halo Award together with Dentsply Sirona is a meaningful recognition of what strong partnerships can achieve. By combining digital dentistry solutions with training and local expertise, we are helping more clinicians reach more patients and expand access to safe, effective treatment around the world—even in settings where resources are limited.”

Recognition for Corporate Social Responsibility

In addition to the Halo Award, Dentsply Sirona received a Gold award in the Corporate Social Responsibility category at the 2025 Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Action Awards.

This award recognizes the company’s global community engagement under its BEYOND sustainability strategy. Through partnerships with organizations including Smile Train, TeamSmile, and Project 32, Dentsply Sirona combines monetary and in-kind donations of dental equipment, clinical education, and employee volunteering to increase access to oral healthcare for communities in need.

“We are honored to receive the Brandon Hall and Halo Award, as both recognitions reflect the passion and commitment our company and employees bring to our community engagement efforts,” says Andrea Frohning, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Dentsply Sirona, in a release. “Through our sustainability strategy, we are guided to create tangible impact where it is needed the most. We know that when employee engagement, strong community partnerships and clear purpose come together, we can go BEYOND in transforming lives.”
